PAULSON AVIATION LIBRARY
EAA Chapter 113
Mettetal Airport (1D2) Plymouth, MI

Our library was started in 2002 by Col. Robert Paulson, CAP, who, instead of having an airplane as a project, started and funded our Aviation Library.  We now have almost 2000 items cataloged (Dewey Decimal System), have 3 computers, WI-FI, and an OPAC (On-line Patron Access Catalog).  We have Aircraft Owner’s Manuals, FAA & EAA publications, books and audiovisual materials on flight training and the history of aviation including WWI, WWII, Korean Conflict, Vietnam, Desert Storm and the Iraq War.  We also have photos, videos, CDs and DVDs. We have all back issues of Sport Aviation on computer.

Materials can be checked-out by any current member of EAA Chapter 113.

In the coming year we expect to celebrate the addition of the 2000th item into our collection.  We will shortly be changing to a digital barcode circulation system, and making our catalog available on the Chapter 113 website.

We are interested in sharing our materials with other EAA chapters, aircraft homebuilders, and restorers of vintage aircraft. We are accepting donations of materials on the topics of local aviation history and veterans (Ford Tri-Motors, B-24s and Willow Run Airport, Stout Aircraft Co., Stinson Aircraft, Meyer Aircraft, as well as general aviation history. We do not currently accept magazines.
